Simpson Thacher Represents Lenders in FS Luxembourg's US$360 Million Senior Secured Term Loan Facility
The Firm represented Banco Santander (Brasil) – Grand Cayman Branch, HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. and Mizuho Bank, Ltd., as Arrangers and Bookrunners, and the Lenders in connection with a US$360 million senior secured green term loan facility made available to FS Luxembourg S.à r.l. ("FS Luxembourg"), a subsidiary of FS Indústria de Biocombustíveis Ltda. ("FS Bio"). The facility is guaranteed by FS Bio and FS I Indústria de Etanol S.A.
FS Bio is the largest corn-based ethanol producer in Brazil and one of the largest low-cost, low-carbon producers of biofuels, animal nutrition products and renewable energy in Brazil.
