Avianca Completes US$650 Million Senior Secured Notes Offering

Simpson Thacher represented Avianca Group in connection with its offering of US$650 million principal amount of 10.250% Senior Secured Notes due 2032. Avianca used the proceeds of the notes to redeem in full its Senior Secured Notes due 2028 and its Tranche A-1 Senior Notes due 2028 and for general corporate purposes, which may include the repayment in the future of certain of its outstanding indebtedness. The offering of the notes was conducted pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S under the U.S. Securities Act.

Avianca is a leading airline group providing passenger air travel, loyalty and cargo services in South America, Central America, North America and Europe and is the leading airline in Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador and Guatemala and one of the most relevant competitors in the rest of Central America.
