Sara Razi Quoted in Law360 on First-Half 2026 Merger Settlements
Sara Razi, Co-Chair of the Firm’s Antitrust and Trade Regulation Practice, was quoted in a Law360 article titled, “States Stepping Up Merger Work In First Half Of 2026,” discussing federal merger settlements in the first half of 2026. She said recent merger settlements reflect a renewed openness by antitrust enforcers to negotiated remedies, citing comments by Omeed A. Assefi, the former acting assistant attorney general for the DOJ's Antitrust Division. "I believe that was very intentional on his part, to say we're open for business to engage in constructive settlement negotiations with parties, but it's going to need to be structural, it's going to need to be a clean divestiture that resolves the competitive concerns.”
