Simpson Thacher Recognized Among Most Active International Law Firms and Lawyers in Latin American Debt Capital Markets for 2025 by Latin Lawyer
Simpson Thacher was recognized among the top 3 most active international law firms in Latin American debt capital markets in 2025 by deal volume (overall number of deals), according to Latin Lawyer's "Deal Tracker" reports on the busiest lawyers and the biggest debt deals of the year. The Firm reported a combined deal value of US$38.6 billion across 48 transactions in 2025, up from US$26.04 billion across 41 deals in 2024. In addition, Partner Juan Francisco Méndez was recognized as one of the busiest international partners in the region, having previously been recognized as the most active international law firm partner in Latin America in 2024. Senior Counsel Kirsten Davis was also named among the busiest international counsel and associates.
