KKR Invests in SK Horizon, SK Telecom's AI Data Center Infrastructure Platform

Simpson Thacher represented KKR in its equity investment in SK Horizon, a new AI data center infrastructure company being spun off from SK Broadband, a wholly owned subsidiary of SK Telecom Co., Ltd. KKR and the IMM Investment-Stonebridge consortium will make a combined KRW 3.08 trillion (approximately USD 2.23 billion) investment in SK Horizon. SK Horizon will operate eight data centers across South Korea with a total capacity of 318 MW and will expand Korea’s leading AI data center and submarine cable infrastructure.
