President Trump Signs Financial Reform Legislation to Roll Back Key Provisions of Dodd-Frank

On May 24, 2018, President Trump signed into law the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act (the “Reform Act”), the most significant financial reform legislation since the landmark Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010. Although not as sweeping in scope as other reform proposals recently considered in Congress, the Reform Act makes targeted changes to several major provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act.
