She regularly represents leading private equity funds and strategic investors across various energy and infrastructure sectors in connection with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other general corporate matters. - Capital Power in connection with multiple transactions and project matters, including with respect to (i) its MOU with Apollo Global Management to form an investment partnership to pursue the acquisition of merchant U.S. natural gas generation assets, with potential committed equity of up to $3 billion; and (ii) its $2.2 billion acquisition from LS Power of Hummel Station, the 1,124 MW combined-cycle natural gas facility in Shamokin Dam, Pennsylvania and Rolling Hills, the 1,023 MW combustion turbine natural gas facility in Wilkesville, Ohio, and related financing
- Holloway Group in connection with the project development, project financing and joint venture arrangements relating to the greenfield ‘Lost Hills’ automotive shredder residue metals and plastics recycling facility located in Bakersfield, California

Sonia received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, where she served as Executive Editor of The Georgetown Journal of Gender and the Law. She also received her B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy from Wellesley College. She is a native Spanish speaker.
