Gabriela Astolphi

Gabriela Astolphi is a Partner in Simpson Thacher’s Energy and Infrastructure Practice, with a particular focus on digital infrastructure transactions. Based in both New York and São Paulo, she advises clients on mergers, acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures and other corporate transactions. Gabriela has deep experience on transactions in the data center, towers and fiber sectors worldwide. She has worked on over 30 landmark digital infrastructure transactions in the last three years alone. Her clients include market-leading financial sponsors and operators.

Her representative experience includes advising:

• DigitalBridge in the $9.2 billion equity recapitalization of Vantage Data Centers alongside Silver Lake, named Data Center Deal of the Year at the 2025 TMT Finance Awards USA
• DigitalBridge in a $3.3 billion transaction between its portfolio company Vertical Bridge and Verizon to lease, operate and manage 6,339 wireless communications towers in all 50 U.S. states and Washington. D.C. – the largest U.S. tower transaction in a decade and named Towers Deal of the Year at the 2025 TMT Finance Awards USA
• DigitalBridge on the formation of a joint venture with La Caisse (f/k/a CDPQ) for the joint $5.8 billion acquisition of Yondr Group, named the 2025 Digital Infrastructure Deal of the Year, Europe at the IJGlobal Investor Awards
• Macquarie Asset Management in its investment of up to $5 billion in Applied Digital’s high performance computing data center business
• Macquarie Asset Management in the $2.35 billion unregistered notes offering by its AI infrastructure partnership with Applied Digital through a subsidiary, with a portion of the net proceeds being used for construction and associated expenses for two of the partnership’s new HPC data centers in North Dakota
• Centersquare, a portfolio company of Brookfield, in its $1 billion acquisition of 10 data centers across the U.S. and Canada
• DigitalBridge in a $500 million commitment, with ArcLight, to Takanock, LLC, a provider of innovative digital and power infrastructure solutions
• DataBank in a $2 billion equity raise led by AustralianSuper, Australia’s largest superannuation fund, which committed $1.5 billion
• NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc., a division of the Japanese conglomerate NTT Group, in an investment by TC Global Investments Americas LLC, a TC Group company, in three large-scale hyperscale data centers owned by NTT GDCA
• DigitalBridge and its portfolio company Scala Data Centers in Scala’s $525 million structured financing deal, including $250 million each from Coatue Tactical Solutions and the Investment Management Corporation of Ontario – IMCO
• DigitalBridge in the acquisition of a 40% stake in Landmark Dividend LLC by a wholly owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, which includes a significant commitment from ADIA and DigitalBridge-sponsored vehicles to support the continued expansion of Landmark’s growth platform

Gabriela has a Master of Laws from Columbia University and is barred in the state of New York. She is fluent in English and Portuguese.
