David Elbaum

David Elbaum is Senior Counsel at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. His practice focuses on securities and corporate litigation and government investigations. He represents leading private equity and corporate clients and individuals in a broad range of complex commercial cases, including shareholder, derivative, M&A and antitrust litigation.  David also represents clients in investigations involving the DOJ, SEC, FTC, HUD and other regulatory agencies.  David’s recent clients have included Blackstone, KKR, JPMorgan, Berkshire Hathaway, Chubb, Silver Lake, Dollar General, Toronto-Dominion Bank and Travelers.

David earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law, and his B.A. from Brown University, and clerked with The Honorable Harold Baer, Jr., U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York.
