She represents domestic and international sponsors in the formation, structuring and ongoing operation of private equity, real estate and infrastructure funds. Jaclyn works closely with potential fund investors, including institutional and high-net worth investors. Jaclyn Starr is Counsel in the Firm’s Private Funds Practice. She represents domestic and international sponsors in the formation, structuring and ongoing operation of private equity, real estate and infrastructure funds. Jaclyn works closely with potential fund investors, including institutional and high-net worth investors. She also advises sponsors on regulatory matters in connection with the formation and operation of their funds.
Returning to Simpson Thacher in 2021, Jaclyn previously served as a Director at Patria Investments, playing a key role in the Brazilian alternative investment firm’s launch of its New York office and North American presence.
Jaclyn received her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2007, and her B.A., cum laude and with distinction in Economics, from Yale University in 2004. She is admitted to practice in New York.
