Anat Holtzman has deep experience in the formation, fundraising and operation of private investment funds across a multitude of strategies, including buyout, credit, real estate and energy and infrastructure funds. She also advises fund sponsors on the development of private fund products that focus on the private wealth channel, among others. Previously a Managing Director at Carlyle in the Legal and Compliance Department, she served as Head of Fund Formation for the Global Private Equity segment.

Anat Holtzman is a Partner in Simpson Thacher’s Private Funds Practice. Based in the Washington, D.C. office, she has deep experience in the formation, fundraising and operation of private investment funds across a multitude of strategies, including buyout, credit, real estate and energy and infrastructure funds, as well as on the development of private fund products that focus on the private wealth channel, among others.

Prior to joining Simpson Thacher, Anat was a Managing Director in the Legal and Compliance Department at Carlyle, where she served as Head of Fund Formation for the Global Private Equity segment. While at Carlyle, she advised on new product development, fundraising and other investment management issues.

Anat received her J.D. from Harvard University in 2010 and her B.S. from Cornell University 2006. She is registered to practice in New York.
