Jieun Lim

Jieun Lim is a Partner in the Firm’s New York office and a member of the Firm’s Capital Markets Practice and Alternative Credit and Private Credit team. He represents issuers, private equity sponsors, institutional holders, investment banks and hedge funds in a wide range of transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on primary and secondary offerings, high yield and investment grade securities offerings, acquisition financing transactions, liability management transactions, private capital transactions and other types of capital market transactions. Jieun’s practice covers a broad range of industries, including healthcare, leisure and hospitality, media and technology, industrials and consumer retail.

Representative transactions on which Jieun has worked on include:

• Blackstone and its portfolio companies in notes offerings and other financing transactions 
• KKR in various US Dollar and Japanese Yen-denominated senior notes offerings and as selling stockholder in in secondary offerings of common stock of AppLovin, US Foods and Coty
• A multinational hedge fund in numerous minority investments in public companies in the form of common stock, preferred stock or warrants
• iHeartMedia in connection with comprehensive refinancing transactions, including exchange offers and consent solicitations
• MITER Brands in high yield notes offerings to finance its acquisition of PGTI 
• Corporate issuers in debt and equity offerings by Gates Industrial, LanzaTech, Marlette, Team Health, USI and others
• Affiliates of Hill Path, J.P. Morgan, Silver Lake and others in preferred equity and other alternative capital investments
• Investment banks in investment grade and high yield notes offerings by Adobe, AerCap, Bausch Health Companies, Carnival, Empire Communities, Endo International, Hanes, LATAM Airlines Group, Martin Marietta Materials, TriNet and others 
• Investment banks in primary and secondary equity offerings by AerCap, Atmus Filtration Technologies, AST SpaceMobile, Carnival, Zai Lab and others

Jieun received his B.A. from Columbia University in 2014, magna cum laude, and his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 2017, where he received the Yong K. Kim ’95 Memorial Writing Prize and the Dean’s Award for Community Leadership and was the Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Business Law Review. He is admitted to practice in New York.
