A Partner in the Firm’s Corporate Department, Keegan Lopez regularly advises some of the world’s most prominent private equity sponsors, as well as public and private companies, on mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, dispositions, carve-outs, strategic investments, joint ventures and other corporate transactions across a wide range of industries. Keegan’s clients have included Brookfield Asset Management, Stonepeak, Ingersoll Rand, Sony Music Entertainment, Apax Partners, Investor AB and its portfolio companies, Blackstone, NextEra Energy Resources and Thompson Street Capital Partners, among many others.

Keegan’s recent representations include:

• Stonepeak in several transactions, including its $8.1 billion acquisition of Astound Broadband, its $3.1 billion acquisition of Air Transport Services Group and its acquisition of Dupre Logistics
• Brookfield Asset Management in a number of transactions, including its $1.7 billion acquisition of nVent Electric’s Thermal Management business and its $1.34 billion acquisition of Antylia Scientific
• Ingersoll Rand in several transactions, including its acquisition of SPX Flow’s Air Treatment Business, its acquisition of Roots from Chart Industries, and the divestiture of its legacy asbestos liabilities to Delticus
• Apax Partners on its $500 million strategic investment in KAR Auctions
• Altus Fire & Life Safety, a portfolio company of funds advised by Apax Partners, in connection with its acquisition of Facility Compliance Services
• Rosebank Industries in its acquisition of Electrical Components International for approximately $1.9 billion
• Johnson Controls in the sale of its Residential and Light Commercial HVAC business to the Bosch Group in an all-cash transaction valued at $8.1 billion
• Investor AB and its portfolio companies, Advanced Instruments, Sarnova and Laborie Medical Technologies, on a number of transactions, including Advanced Instrument’s acquisition of Nova Biomedical for $2.2 billion, Sarnova’s acquisition of One Beat Medical, and Laborie’s acquisition of acquisition of GI Supply
• BREIT, Blackstone Infrastructure Partners and other long-term perpetual capital vehicles managed by Blackstone in their $10 billion acquisition of QTS Realty
• Blackstone Real Estate in its $7.6 billion acquisition of PS Business Parks
• BREIT in its $5.8 billion acquisition of Preferred Apartment Communities
• BREIT and Blackstone Property Partners in their $13 billion acquisition of American Campus Communities
• Sony Music Entertainment on several transactions, including its acquisition of Alamo Records
• MediaRadar, a portfolio company of Thompson Street Capital Partners, in its acquisition of Vivvix
• Blackstone Growth as lead investor in a $225 million investment in Clari, valuing Clari at more than $2.6 billion
• NextEra Energy Resources in the formation of Nitro Renewables Holdings, LLC, a $900 million joint venture with funds managed or advised by affiliates of Blackstone Inc.
• DigitalBridge in connection with a $3.3 billion tower transaction between DBRG’s portfolio company, Vertical Bridge, and Verizon Communications Inc.

Keegan received his LL.B. (with Honors) from the University of Auckland, where he received the Senior Scholar Award from the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Law Dean's Academic Excellence Award. Keegan received his B.A. from the University of Auckland.
