Jonathan Hwang is a Partner in the Firm’s private equity practice in Asia. He is based in Hong Kong and leads the Firm’s pan-Asia Real Estate team.
Jonathan advises leading private equity sponsors, institutional investors and corporations on complex cross-border M&A transactions, with particular expertise in real asset-related transactions across the Asia-Pacific.
He regularly advises on acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, co-investments, and the structuring of investment platforms and management promote arrangements.
Jonathan’s experience spans all asset classes, including office, retail, industrial, residential and digital infrastructure, as well as a broad range of investment structures, including structured equity and real estate-backed financing arrangements.
Jonathan's team in Hong Kong was named “Real Estate and REIT Practice of the Year” by China Business Law Awards (China Business Law Journal) in 2017, 2021-2023. Jonathan is rated as a “rising star partner” on IFLR1000 and speaks English and Mandarin.
