He focuses primarily on domestic and cross-border syndicated credit, acquisition finance and other leveraged finance transactions. Shahpur regularly serves as counsel to leading private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in acquisition financings, bank and bridge loan financings and refinancings, and other corporate finance transactions. His recent representations include advising a consortium comprising KKR, Cinven and Providence in connection with its financing of the take private of MasMovil and GenesisCare, a leading healthcare provider, in connection with its financing of the acquisition of 21st Century Oncology.

Shahpur recently contributed to the 2016 inaugural edition of “Getting the Deal Through: High-Yield Debt.” The publication provides advice and insight into the global high-yield market, with chapters covering a range of international jurisdictions. He co-authored the “United Kingdom” section.

Shahpur received his Postgraduate Diploma in Law Commendation from BPP Law School London in 2005 and his Diploma in Law from City University in London in 2004. He received his B.A., with Honours, from the University of Cambridge-Trinity College in 2003.
