He focuses primarily on domestic and cross-border syndicated credit, acquisition finance and other leveraged finance transactions. Shahpur regularly serves as counsel to leading private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies in acquisition financings, bank and bridge loan financings, unitranche facilities and refinancings, and other corporate finance transactions. His recent representations include advising Silver Lake in financing its acquisition of Software AG and Flutter Entertainment in connection with certain refinancing transactions.

He regularly advises leading sponsors and their portfolio companies in connection with a variety of corporate finance transactions, including acquisition financings, bank and bridge loan financings, unitranche financings and refinancings.

Shahpur contributed to the 2016 inaugural edition of “Getting the Deal Through: High-Yield Debt.” and subsequent updates. The publication provides advice and insight into the global high-yield market, with chapters covering a range of international jurisdictions. He co-authored the “United Kingdom” section.

He is a member of the Firm’s Knowledge and Information Committee and co-chair of the Firm’s London Diversity and Inclusion Committee.

Shahpur received his Postgraduate Diploma in Law Commendation from BPP Law School London in 2005 and his Diploma in Law from City University in London in 2004. He received his B.A., with Honours, from the University of Cambridge-Trinity College in 2003.
