Sinead O’Shea is a Partner in the Firm’s London office concentrating on debt finance matters. Sinead has deep experience in a range of cross-border senior and subordinated financings, with an emphasis on infrastructure finance, leveraged acquisition finance and syndicated corporate facilities. She has represented such firms and companies as KKR, Melrose, Viridian, ChemChina, JPMorgan Chase, First Reserve, Silver Lake Partners, BlackRock and Blackstone. Sinead practises both English and New York law and has also worked in the Firm’s New York and Hong Kong offices.

Sinead joined Simpson Thacher in 2000. She is currently based in the Firm’s London office and has also worked in the Firm’s New York and Hong Kong offices. She received an LL.M. in 1996 and a Bachelor of Civil Law degree in 1994 from University College Cork, Ireland, and a Barrister-at-law degree in 1998 from the Honorable Society of King’s Inns, Ireland. She is admitted to the New York bar and the Law Society of England and Wales and practises both New York and English law.
