Sima J. Gandhi Awarded Hamilton Project Prize

Tax associate Sima J. Gandhi has been awarded The Hamilton Project Economic Policy Innovation Prize for her paper "Viewing Education Loans through a Myopic Lens: A Revenue-Neutral Proposal for Accelerating Student Loan Subsidies". Former U.S. Secretary of the Treasury Robert Rubin will present the prize to Ms. Gandhi in Washington, D.C. on October 30, 2007. In addition to Mr. Rubin, members of the selection committee include former U.S. Deputy Treasury Secretary Roger Altman (currently at Evercore), Former Vice Chairman of UBS Blair Effron (currently at Centerview), American economist and former Chair of the President's Council of Economic Advisers Laura Tyson, Chairman of the Global Markets Institute at Goldman Sachs Suzanne Johnson (an STB alum) and University of California Berkeley Dean and Professor of Law Christopher Edley. The Hamilton Project is an economic policy initiative that produces research and proposals on how to create a growing economy that benefits more Americans.
