Juan A. Arteaga Speaks at New York Regional LALSA Conference at New York Law School
On April 2, 2011, Litigation associate Juan A. Arteaga was a speaker at the first regional conference of the Metro New York Latin American Law Students Associations. The conference was entitled “Pa’lante: Amplifying the Latino Voice in the Law” and was hosted by New York Law School. Mr. Arteaga spoke on a panel entitled “The Criminal Justice System and Latinos: Perspectives from Latino Attorneys Engaging the System.” The panel was moderated by Professor Fabio Arcila, Jr., Touro Law School, and the other panelists were the Honorable Rita Mella, New York City Criminal Court, Michael Pineiro, Senior Supervising Attorney, Legal Aid Criminal Defense Division, and Emilio Estela, Assistant District Attorney, Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
