Simpson Thacher Represents Underwriters in SEC-Registered Initial Public Offering and NYSE Listing of Central Puerto

The Firm represented J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated and Morgan Stanley & Co LLC, as underwriters in connection with the $370 million initial public offering in the United States of common shares of Central Puerto S.A. by certain selling shareholders, directly or in the form of American Depositary Shares (ADSs). Central Puerto’s ADSs are listed on the New York Stock Exchange and its common shares are listed on the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange.

Central Puerto is the largest private sector power generation company in Argentina, as measured by generated power, representing approximately 20% of the power generated by private sector generation companies in the country. Central Puerto has an installed generating capacity of 3,791 MW. The company has a generation asset portfolio that is geographically and technologically diversified. Their facilities are distributed across the City of Buenos Aires and the provinces of Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Neuquén and Río Negro. The Company use conventional technologies (including hydro power) to generate power, and its power generation assets include combined cycle, gas turbine, steam turbine, hydroelectric and co-generation.
