Corporate Partner Rajib Chanda was quoted in a FundFire article titled, “Interval Funds Face First Test in a Downturn.” The article explores how and why interval funds are faring well amid the economic downturn resulting from the coronavirus pandemic. Noting that interval funds are able to invest in less liquid assets, the article posits interval funds may continue to gain favor in the market. Rajib noted that their ability to gate withdrawals to 5% a quarter also gives interval fund managers a “breather” in short, spiky downturns by not having to keep larger cash positions.
