Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP today announced that Anat Holtzman has joined the Firm’s Washington, D.C. office as a Partner in the Private Funds Practice.
“Anat is a star in the private funds industry whose diversity of experience will enhance our ability to provide asset managers with strategic advice across the full range of private funds asset classes and strategies,” said Alden Millard, Chair of the Firm’s Executive Committee. “She will be a tremendous resource to clients across our premier Funds platform, and we are delighted to have her with us.”
Anat was most recently a Managing Director in the Legal and Compliance Department at Carlyle, serving as Head of Fund Formation for the Global Private Equity segment. While at Carlyle, she advised on new product development, fundraising and other investment management issues. At Simpson Thacher, she will advise fund sponsors on the formation, fundraising and operation of private investment funds across a multitude of strategies, including buyout, credit, real estate and energy and infrastructure funds, as well as on the development of private fund products that focus on the private wealth channel, among others. Prior to her role at Carlyle, Anat was in private practice at another international law firm.
