Capital Group Files for First Public-Private Equity Fund, Furthering Strategic Partnership with KKR

08.14.25

Simpson Thacher is representing KKR in the expansion of its strategic partnership with Capital Group to develop innovative solutions for broadening access to private market investments. In connection with this strategic partnership, on July 29, 2025, Capital Group filed a registration statement with the SEC for a new interval fund, the Capital Group KKR U.S. Equity+ Fund, which is expected to launch in early 2026. The new fund aims to provide access to public and private equity markets through a single integrated solution.  Over time, and subject to market conditions, the fund will seek to allocate approximately 60% of net assets to publicly traded equity securities and approximately 40% to private equity strategies. The new fund builds on the launch of two interval funds focused on credit strategies, which were previously announced by Capital Group and KKR in April 2025. KKR is not a sponsor, promoter, investment adviser, sub-adviser, underwriter or affiliate of the fund.

The Simpson Thacher team includes Rajib Chanda, Benjamin Wells, Nathan Somogie, Stephanie Chaung and Blake Delaplane (Registered Funds).
