David Azcue and Jonathan Stradling Quoted on Japan’s Private Equity Deals Market
David Azcue, Co-Head of the Firm’s Private Funds Practice in Japan, and Partner Jonathan Stradling were quoted extensively in an Asian Legal Business article, “Higher and Higher,” which discusses recent growth in Japan’s private equity market. Japan has drawn broad attention from global investors and transformed the legal market in Japan. David noted the PE industry’s strong value proposition, with PE firms having demonstrated a remarkable ability to help Japan’s many founder-run businesses institutionalize, continue despite a dearth of succession routes, and expand in ways many founder-owners had not themselves conceived.
