Rajib Chanda Quoted in CNBC on Capital Deployment by Evergreen Funds
Rajib Chanda, Global Head of Asset Management, was quoted in a CNBC Inside Wealth article titled, “Goldman’s Nachmann Warns of ‘Deployment Pressure’ from Explosion of Evergreen Funds,” which discusses the growing popularity of evergreen funds that offer greater liquidity while incentivizing fund managers to deploy capital as soon as possible. “Deployment is the issue,” Rajib said, noting the inherent tension between the consumers (fund shareholders) and fund managers who invest assets when it comes to deployment timing. “People want to have certainty as to timing and amount of deployment – that is a feature for the consumer and a bug for the investor.”
