Lauren King Quoted in Pitchbook on Secondary Buyers Turning to Middle-Market Continuation Funds
Lauren King, Co-Lead of Simpson Thacher’s Fund Transactions Practice, was quoted in a Pitchbook article, “Secondary Buyers Turn to Middle-Market Continuation Funds,” which discussed secondary buyers increasingly shifting focus from large GP-led deals to mid-market ones, as the middle market appeals to their desire to occupy a larger portion of the cap table on a given deal. Lauren noted that “a firm can be the sole lead investor in a middle-market deal, and sometimes even the sole new investor.”
