Simpson Thacher Represents JPMorgan in ASUR’s Senior Unsecured Bridge Credit Agreement

The Firm represented JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., as sole lead arranger, sole bookrunner, lender and administrative agent in connection with a senior unsecured bridge credit agreement in the aggregate amount of Ps.$ 6,390,000,000 (equivalent to approximately US$350 million), made available to Aeropuerto de Cancún, S.A. de C.V. and ASUR US Commercial Airports LLC, as borrowers. The proceeds were used for the acquisition of URW Airports, LLC, a retail developer and operator of terminals at John F. Kennedy International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Chicago O'Hare.

The borrowers are subsidiaries of Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste, S.A.B de C.V. (ASUR), which is a leading international airport operator with a portfolio of concessions to operate, maintain, and develop 16 airports in the Americas. These comprise nine airports in southeast Mexico, including Cancun Airport, the most important tourist destination in Mexico, the Caribbean, and Latin America, and six airports in northern Colombia, including José María Córdova International Airport (Rionegro), the second busiest airport in Colombia. ASUR is also a 60% JV partner in Aerostar Airport Holdings, LLC, operator of the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport serving the capital of Puerto Rico, San Juan. Headquartered in Mexico, ASUR is listed both on the Mexican Bolsa, where it trades under the symbol ASUR, and on the NYSE in the U.S., where it trades under the symbol ASR.
