Amy Candido Presents on First Set of Defend Trade Secrets Act Model Jury Instructions
Amy Candido, Head of the Firm’s Intellectual Property Litigation Practice, participated in a webinar hosted by The Sedona Conference on the Defend Trade Secrets Act (“DTSA”) Model Jury Instructions on January 8, 2026. The DTSA Model Jury Instructions are the first comprehensive instructions for the DTSA and were developed by a Drafting Team, co-led by Amy, of leaders in the trade secrets bar. After several years of effort, The Sedona Conference published the DTSA Model Jury Instructions for public comment in December, with final publication to follow early this year. Developed to help courts and litigants clearly frame the issues in DTSA trials, the DTSA Model Jury Instructions include proposed language, supporting authority and commentary to guide both pretrial discovery and trial preparation.
