Simpson Thacher Represents Underwriters in Block Trade of ADSs of LATAM Airlines
Simpson Thacher represented J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, as underwriter, in connection with the sale by a selling shareholder of 12,000,000 American Depositary Shares (“ADSs”) representing common shares of LATAM Airlines Group S.A. (“LATAM Airlines”). The secondary offering, which was effected pursuant to a block trade, raised gross sales proceeds to the selling shareholder of approximately $743 million. The transaction closed on February 11, 2026.
LATAM Airlines is the largest passenger airline group in South America and one of the largest airline groups in the world in terms of network connections. It is also the largest air cargo carrier in South America, as measured by cargo fleet. LATAM Airlines provides passenger transport services to 160 destinations in 27 countries and territories and cargo services to 170 destinations in 31 countries and territories, with an operating fleet of 371 aircraft.
