Greenvolt Power Secures €348 Million Financing Package
Simpson Thacher represented Greenvolt Power, a portfolio company of KKR Infrastructure and a leading global developer of large-scale wind, solar and battery energy storage projects, in securing a €348 million financing package for the construction of the 253.1 MW Ialomița wind project in Romania.
The financing was structured alongside a group of leading financial institutions composed of UniCredit Bank S.A., Erste Group Bank AG, Raiffeisen Bank S.A., Société Générale, BRD (Groupe Société Générale SA) and Siemens Bank GmbH. The project is one of Romania’s largest private renewable energy developments in progress and is expected to reach COD in 2027.
