Justin Browder to Speak at the Investment Adviser Compliance Conference on Investing in Digital Assets
Justin Browder, a Partner in the Firm’s Asset Management Regulatory and Enforcement and Registered Funds Practices, will speak on a panel at the Investment Adviser Association (IAA)’s Investment Adviser Compliance Conference, taking place March 18–20 in Washington, D.C. His panel, “Tales from the Crypto Initiative: Investing in Digital Assets,” will be held on March 19 and will focus on key compliance considerations surrounding digital asset investments.
The discussion will address the continued growth of digital assets and the SEC’s heightened attention to the space. Panelists will explore compliance issues arising from direct digital asset investments and exchange-traded products; custody arrangements involving banks and state chartered trust companies, including the industry-wide SEC no-action relief that Simpson Thacher secured in September 2025; tokenization and blockchain technology; jurisdictional questions; payment stablecoins under the GENIUS Act; ongoing market structure legislative efforts; and insights from the SEC’s Crypto Task Force. Justin and his fellow speakers will highlight the practical implications of these developments for advisers navigating an increasingly complex regulatory environment.
The Investment Adviser Compliance Conference is a leading forum for legal and compliance professionals to discuss emerging regulatory, operational and enforcement trends affecting investment advisers. For more information, click here: https://www.investmentadviser.org/events/compliance-conference/
