Simpson Thacher recently represented Goldman Sachs and Citi, as joint lead arrangers and bookrunners, in connection with a US$1 billion bridge loan facility to Grupo Nutresa S.A. and certain of its subsidiaries. The facility was used for general corporate purposes and to fund loans to affiliates of Grupo Nutresa.
Simpson Thacher also represented Goldman Sachs and Citi in connection with Grupo Nutresa’s $1.25 billion 7.875% subordinated perpetual capital notes, issued pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S. Proceeds from the offering were used to repay the bridge facility and for general corporate purposes.
Additionally, Simpson Thacher represented Goldman Sachs and Citi, as joint lead arrangers and bookrunners, in connection with a US$500 million term loan facility to Erton Holding S.A., an affiliate of Grupo Nutresa, used to finance Erton Holding’s purchase of preferred shares of Grupo Nutresa.
