04.23.26

Mick Tuesley, Head of the Firm’s National Security Regulatory Practice, and Litigation Partner Mark Skerry were featured panelists at the American Conference Institute’s 12th National Conference on CFIUS, April 22-23 in Washington, D.C.

Mick participated in a panel discussion, “Taking Stock of the Trump Administration’s New Policies on CFIUS and National Security – From Sovereign Wealth Funds to Deal Prohibition,” which, through a series of case studies, explored how new Trump Administration policies are reshaping the national security landscape and CFIUS process, highlighting transaction-specific nuances and the scope of direct Presidential involvement. Mark moderated the panel, “Analyzing CFIUS Reviews of Transactions in Critical Technology, AI and Quantum Computing Dual Use,” which examined how transactions in AI and quantum computing are reshaping national security risk assessments and how the U.S. government, including CFIUS, is adapting policy and tools to keep pace with rapid technological change.

The American Conference Institute’s National Conference on CFIUS is widely regarded as one of the premier events for the CFIUS bar and brings together leaders from government, industry and private practice. For more information on the conference, please click here.
