Matthew Behrens Speaks at PLI’s Understanding the Securities Laws 2026 Program

Matthew Behrens, Counsel in the Firm’s Executive Compensation and Employee Benefits Practice, spoke in the Practising Law Institute’s (“PLI”) Understanding the Securities Laws 2026 program on June 2–3 in New York. The program, a two-day overview of U.S. securities laws, focused on the core framework governing public and private securities markets, including the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and provided practical guidance on securities law practice. Panelists addressed key areas such as SEC reporting, disclosure obligations, regulatory developments and rule proposals, and the application of securities laws to mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions, with an emphasis on real-world best practices and current enforcement trends.
