Simpson Thacher represented CVC Capital Partners (“CVC”) in connection with the formation and raising of CVC’s European-focused mid-market private equity fund, CVC Catalyst III (“Catalyst III”), which had total commitments of approximately €3 billion ($3.4 billion). Catalyst III exceeded its target by almost double and its original hard cap, reflecting strong investor confidence in CVC’s long-term track record, differentiated platform and ability to identify attractive opportunities across the European mid-market.
CVC Catalyst is a sector agnostic private equity strategy focused on high-quality and growth-orientated mid-market businesses with an equity investment below €250 million and predominantly based in Europe.
