Craig Waldman and Lynn Neuner Quoted in Bloomberg Law on Midyear Securities Litigation Activity
Craig Waldman, Head of the Firm’s Asset Management Litigation Practice, and Lynn Neuner, Global Co-Chair of the Firm’s Litigation Department, were quoted in a Bloomberg Law article titled, “Big Stock Drops, AI Shape Trends in 2026 Investor Class Actions,” on securities case filings and settlements at the midyear mark of 2026.
Craig attributed the increase in settlement amounts to the strength of today’s markets. “Stocks are at all-time highs and the S&P is at an all-time high and I think that’s having an impact on overall settlement numbers,” he said. Lynn added settlement values are largely driven by the scale of potential investor losses, while a recent Boeing decision could require plaintiffs to develop damages analyses earlier in securities litigation. “The plaintiffs’ attorneys are not going to want to risk getting knocked out for having a superficial report,” she said.
