Simpson Thacher Advises Scaleup Europe Fund and EQT on Investment in ICEYE Series F Funding
The Firm represented Scaleup Europe Fund, managed and advised by affiliates of EQT AB, on regulatory matters as co-lead investor of the Series F funding of ICEYE Oy. ICEYE owns and operates one of the world's largest and most advanced synthetic aperture radar satellite constellations, providing sovereign intelligence capabilities from space. The investment forms part of ICEYE's €1 billion financing round at a valuation exceeding €10 billion. Scaleup Europe Fund is a multi-billion late-stage and growth fund established by the European Commission alongside a group of European investors to invest in strategic technology areas.
