Michelle Cheh Quoted in Secondaries Investor on the Secondaries Market in Asia-Pacific
Funds Partner, Michelle Cheh, was quoted in a Secondaries Investor article titled “What’s holding Asia-Pacific Secondaries Back?” The piece notes that Asia-Pacific has many of the ingredients for a thriving secondaries market, driven by the continued maturation of private markets in the region and growing demand for liquidity.
Michelle said, “There are GP-led processes being launched regularly, but buyers are taking a disciplined approach, which is resulting in a very measured pace of completions.” Commenting on the potential for the next phase of secondaries market growth in Asia-Pacific being driven by GP-led deals, Cheh observed that secondary players can be quite creative with the terms of a GP-led, “We’re still seeing new structures, new terms and new ideas come up, and we can be very agile depending on what’s happening in the market.”
