Ryan Brizek Quoted in Ignites on Potential Changes to the SEC Interval Fund Rule
Registered Funds Partner Ryan Brizek was quoted in an Ignites article titled, “Are Monthly Repurchases Ahead? SEC Considers Interval Fund Rule Changes,” which examined potential SEC amendments to the interval fund rule that could provide sponsors with greater flexibility in offering investor liquidity. In discussing the potential regulatory changes, Ryan noted that clients and industry participants are watching to see whether the SEC will amend its interval fund rule to allow funds to modify repurchase frequency. He also noted that the industry is waiting to see if the SEC may consider modernizing liquidity requirements under the interval fund rule, such as a proposal to let interval funds count borrowing capacity under committed credit lines toward the rule's liquidity requirements.
