Simpson Thacher represented iFood.com Agência de Restaurantes Online S.A. (“iFood”), through its affiliate iFood Benefícios, in its agreement to acquire 100% of Caju Holding do Brasil Ltda. (“Caju”), a Brazilian benefits and corporate expense management fintech. The transaction remains subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
iFood is one of the leading food delivery platforms in Brazil. Through iFood Benefícios, it offers meal and food benefit cards and other employee benefits to corporate clients. Caju is a technology company that provides flexible employee benefits, corporate expense management and HR solutions. The transaction would bring together the two companies’ benefits businesses, with a combined base of approximately three million users and 135,000 corporate clients.
