Sec Adopts Amendments Regarding the Role of Independent Directors of Investment Companies
On January 3, 2001, the Securities and Exchange Commission adopted amendments to reinforce the role that independent directors play in protecting fund investors, enhance their ability to deal with fund management and provide investors with greater information to assess the independence of thoise directors.
