What We Do

We handle high-stakes international disputes and commercial crises, where the outcome is uncertain and our clients need the highest quality of service, with results to match. Clients turn to us not only when the monetary stakes are high, but equally when reputations are at risk or the potential implications are significant and their disputes may impact existing or future commercial relationships, market position or other critical business objectives.

Litigation

We represent clients in large-scale commercial disputes in the courts of England and the United States where we are licensed to practice. We devise and direct successful strategies in litigation around the world, working closely with local counsel in foreign jurisdictions, where clients wish to bring our experience, creative thinking, and top-tier advocacy skills into play. Our experience spans commercial disputes of all kinds, injunctions and urgent interim relief, contentious insolvency proceedings, corporate schemes and tax litigation. Jurisdictions in which we have managed significant litigations include Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, New Zealand, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Cayman Islands, Cyprus and Brazil.

Arbitration

We represent clients in international commercial arbitrations conducted in the English language under virtually any system of governing law and all of the major arbitral institutions and rules (ICC, LCIA, SCC, AAA, JAMS, HKIAC, SIAC, UNCITRAL, ad hoc) and based in venues throughout the world, when clients want to employ our leading advocacy skills to achieve the best possible outcome, consistent with their commercial objectives. We have conducted international arbitrations seated in all of London, New York, Paris, Houston, Miami, Chicago, Stockholm, Geneva, Vienna, Copenhagen, Singapore, Hong Kong and São Paulo.

Advisory

We advise, alongside our colleagues, on strategies to achieve client objectives in commercial situations, working as part of multi-disciplinary teams spanning M&A, Funds, Restructuring, Tax, Credit and Real Estate groups.
