Matthew C. Penny is Counsel in the Firm’s Litigation Department, representing clients in complex commercial litigation. Matthew litigates high-stakes cases in trial and appellate courts across the country and regularly advises clients in connection with matters involving insurance coverage, internal investigations, mergers and acquisitions, and securities and breach-of-contract claims, among others.

Matthew served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Eric N. Vitaliano of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. He received his J.D. from Yale Law School, where he was an Editor on the Yale Journal on Regulation and a Director of the Capital Assistance Project. Matthew received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Franklin & Marshall College.
