Josh's recent work highlights include:

  • Beazley in connection with claims related to a ransomware attack;
  • Genesee & Wyoming in litigations challenging its acquisition by Brookfield and GIC;
  • Brighthouse Life Insurance Company in a putative class action related to universal life insurance policies;
  • Beazley in disputes concerning complex data breach claims;
  • UBS in obtaining a denial of class certification in a putative class action alleging breach of contract and fiduciary duty in connection with certain closed-end mutual funds;
  • Stonepeak Partners LP in an appellate win reversing a trial court decision and securing a dismissal of the case;
  • The Toronto-Dominion Bank in obtaining a denial of class certification in a putative class action related to Allen Stanford, orchestrator of one of the largest-ever Ponzi schemes; and
  • Former Lehman Brothers officers in an appellate win in a fraud and breach of fiduciary duty lawsuit.

Josh also maintains an active pro bono practice. He recently defeated an emergency motion in a Florida voting action and, along with the ACLU and AIC, secured a preliminary injunction blocking a fast-track deportation rule. 

Josh received his A.B., magna cum laude, from Princeton University in 2005. He received his M.S. from Pace University in 2007 and graduated from the New York University School of Law, magna cum laude, in 2011. Prior to joining the Firm, Josh served as a law clerk for the Honorable Dennis Jacobs, Chief Judge of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
