Sophie Hasse

Sophie Hasse is a Partner in the Private Funds group at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Sophie specializes in the formation and operation of private equity funds, including real estate funds, infrastructure funds, buyout funds, distressed and other debt funds and co-investment funds, as well as separate accounts, funds-of-one and similar custom arrangements. She has experience representing some of the largest and most well-known private fund sponsors, including KKR, Blackstone, Carlyle, BlackRock and Silver Lake.

Notable work highlights include representation of:

• GIP, a part of BlackRock, in connection with multiple fundraisings including GIP Middle-Market Fund V, BlackRock Global Infrastructure Fund IV, BlackRock Middle East Fund I and their various co-investment arrangements
• Blackstone in connection with customized separately managed accounts within its Asset-Based Finance Group and the establishment of its inaugural asset-based high-yield private credit fund, Blackstone Asset Based Finance Partners
• Blackstone in the establishment of Blackstone Infrastructure Partners
• KKR in the formation of the third vintage and ongoing management of KKR Real Estate Credit Opportunity Partners
• Silver Lake in connection with the establishment of the $20 billion Silver Lake Partners VI
• Carlyle in connection with multiple fundraises, including Carlyle Property Investors and various other co-investment vehicles and customized arrangements

Sophia received her J.D. in 2015 from Brooklyn Law School, where she graduated cum laude, and her B.A. in 2010 from Washington University in St. Louis. She is admitted to practice in New York.
