Anita Yuen Brown is Counsel in the Firm’s Private Funds Practice. Based in Houston, she represents domestic and international sponsors in the formation, structuring and ongoing operation of private equity funds and hedge funds across numerous strategies, as well as co-investment arrangements and funds-of-one. Anita works closely with potential fund investors, including institutional and high-net worth investors. She also advises sponsors on regulatory matters in connection with the formation and operation of their funds.

Returning to Simpson Thacher in 2022, Anita previously served as counsel for a quantitative hedge fund.
Anita initially joined the Firm in 2007 and was previously based in the Firm’s New York and Hong Kong offices. Anita received her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 2007, and her B.A., magna cum laude, in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania. She is admitted to practice in New York.
