  • Primavera Capital Acquisition Corporation in its US$1.9 billion de-SPAC merger with Lanvin Group
  • Lexington Partners in its US$1,750 million sale of Lexington Partners Asia to Franklin Templeton
  • Blackstone Real Estate Partners in its proposed HK$23.7 billion takeover of SOHO China
  • A consortium of financial investors led by Mr Se Hok Pan in its privatisation of Nature Home Holding
  • Primavera Capital Group in its multi-billion acquisition of the Greater China Business of Mead Johnson Nutrition

Large corporations, private equity sponsors and financial institutions alike turn to David for guidance on a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures. He also has experience advising on corporate financings, regulatory and compliance matters, corporate governance, pre-IPO restructuring and investment, convertibles and structured products, corporate and debt restructurings, debt financings and employment matters. David also works on pro bono matters for charitable organizations in his community.

In addition to regularly speaking at professional education courses, David authored a chapter for two Practitioner’s Guide to the Hong Kong Takeovers Code—and served as the consulting editor for one of the guides—as well as the Hong Kong chapter for Practical Law: Shareholders’ Rights Global Guide by Thomson Reuters. David was also a member of the consulting editorial board for LexisNexis Practical Guidance in corporate law.

David received his LL.B. in 1991 and his B.Com. (Accounting) in 1990 from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He is admitted to practice in Hong Kong, England and Wales, and New South Wales.
