Melissa is Counsel in the Firm's Registered Funds Practice, focusing on a broad range of investment management and securities law matters related to regulated funds and their boards and registered investment advisers. She advises clients on transactional and regulatory matters in connection with the operation and organization of regulated funds, including regarding compliance, corporate governance, reorganizations and restructurings, repurchase offers and tender offers, and liquidations. Melissa has a broad background representing various types of regulated fund structures, including interval funds, tender offer funds, listed closed-end funds, business development companies, mutual funds and exchange-traded funds.

Melissa received her J.D. from The George Washington University Law School in 2016, where she was a Dean’s Fellow, and her B.A., cum laude, from James Madison University in 2010. She is admitted to practice in Washington, D.C.
