Sam Kardon is Counsel in Simpson Thacher’s Capital Markets Practice. Sam focuses on representing REITs and alternative asset managers in connection with IPOs and other securities offerings, ongoing public company requirements and corporate governance. Sam also represents investment banks and other market participants, and he has significant experience in a wide range of other transactional and advisory matters (including M&A, restructurings, joint ventures, other strategic investments and conflicts of interest) and other industries (including energy and financial services).
Prior to joining Simpson Thacher, Sam was a member of Blackstone’s Real Estate and Private Wealth Legal teams, where he was responsible for corporate and securities matters related to Blackstone’s REITs and other real estate investment vehicles, as well as various cross-fund and platform-level matters.
