Ali Sher is a Partner in the Firm’s Litigation Department. She represents clients in a wide range of high stakes commercial disputes, including shareholder litigation, high-profile securities litigation, M&A litigation, trademark infringement matters, insurance/reinsurance matters and other complex commercial disputes. Ali also advises clients in sensitive internal investigations, as well as government investigations brought by the DOJ, SEC and CFTC. Her work involves the representation of corporations, financial institutions and private equity firms, as well as boards of directors, board committees and executives. In 2025, Ali was recognized on  Benchmark Litigation's “40 & Under List.”

Ali Sher is a Partner in the Firm’s Litigation Department. She represents clients in high-stakes commercial disputes, securities litigation, M&A litigation, false advertising, insurance and reinsurance matters, as well as advises clients in sensitive internal investigations and government investigations brought by the DOJ, SEC and CFTC.

Ali is a general commercial litigator and experienced crisis manager who represents the Firm’s institutional clients in a wide range of high stakes, complex commercial disputes and is also a member of the Firm’s Government and Internal Investigations Practice. In 2025, Ali was recognized on Benchmark Litigation's “40 & Under List.”

Her clients include KKR, Apax, BC Partners, Blackstone, PAAMCO Prisma, J.P. Morgan, Wells Fargo, Zest Dental Solutions and U.S. Bank.

She also has an active pro bono practice, including representing clients in domestic violence and asylum matters. Since 2020, she has served as the Board Chair of a New York City nonprofit called I Challenge Myself, which provides opportunities for public school students to strengthen their bodies, minds and spirits through school-based fitness programs.

Ali completed a clerkship with the Honorable Kevin McNulty of the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. She received her J.D. from Harvard Law School, where she received the Frank Righeimer Jr. Prize for Student Citizenship. Ali received her B.A., summa cum laude, from Boston University. Prior to law school, Ali spent two years teaching Algebra and Geometry with Teach for America in New Orleans, Louisiana.
