Caleb McConnell is a Partner in the firm’s U.K. Tax Practice. He advises clients on the tax aspects of a broad  range of U.K. and international corporate and funds matters, with an emphasis on investment fund structuring, cross-border mergers and acquisitions and fund financings.

One of Caleb’s key areas of focus is the tax structuring of complex international investment funds. He has significant experience acting for funds across a range of alternative strategies including private equity, private debt / credit and infrastructure.

Caleb advises clients on their complete structures, including carried interest structuring and the structuring of underlying asset holding vehicles and investments. Caleb is also experienced in advising on fund financings (including NAV financing).

Recognised by The Legal 500 for his prowess on tax matters, Caleb has advised clients including Blackstone, BlackRock, Bridgepoint Group and Apax, among others.

Caleb received his M.S., with distinction, from the University of Oxford. He received his Bachelor of Laws, with first-class honours, and his Bachelor of Commerce, with distinction, from Victoria University of Wellington. Caleb is admitted to practice in New Zealand.
